Sarb Gill, an Airdrie liquor store Clerk, turns the tables on would-be armed robber

An article in the Calgary Sun titled “Airdrie liquor store Clerk fights back during attempted armed robbery” shows there are still MEN in the world willing to stand up for what is right. When a would-be armed robber entered the store where Sarb Gill refused to be a victim.

Instead of handing over the cash like the thief demanded, Gill

unleashed a beating that sent the suspect, later identified as a 22-year-old Airdrie man Matthew Christopher Bleile, fleeing for his life and seeking treatment at a Calgary hospital.”

Two friends got robbed last week, and my friend got robbed in High River on Friday,” Sarb Gill said.

If we give them a lesson, next time someone will think twice before they think robbery is easy money.”

I doubt the freshly-beaten Mr. Bleile will be attempting to rob corner stores any time soon. He most assuredly will “think twice” before attempting to rob a liquor store again.

What is interesting about this case is that Sarb Gill is an immigrant. He didn’t grow up in Canada yet he possesses two attributes I would love to see in all our immigrants, indeed all Canadians everywhere, namely courage and honour.

From the Calgary Sun article:

Wednesday’s incident wasn’t the first time Gill resorted to force to thwart would-be robbers. Shortly after immigrating to Canada from India in 2008, Gill sent two armed robbers running after leaping over the counter and chasing them off with a baseball bat.

Clearly anyone attempting to rob any establishment where Sarb Gill works is both stupid and in for a very rude surprise. This is a man that simply will not give criminals the upper hand and for this I applaud him.

If we had more Canadians like Sarb Gill perhaps our criminals wouldn’t be quite so glib and carefree.

The RCMP, of course, doesn’t like anyone doing their job for them and made it clear they don’t want anyone fighting back against would-be thieves.

Airdrie RCMP said complying with demands and informing the police is the safest way to deal with robberies. Taking the law into your own hands is not a course of action encouraged by police.

“Taking the law into your own hands?”

Dr. Mike Ackermann took exception to that statement, as I would expect. Since his comments published on the Canadian Firearms Digest mirror my own I will let him have the last word.

When the police say they don’t recommend citizens taking the law into our own hands, I must ask:

In exactly whose hands do they think the law resides? It originates with the People, and remains with the People. It is always ours to respect and enforce. We just delegate some of that authority to our elected representatives and their hirelings because most of us are too busy to attend to it ourselves.

Make no mistake, what Mr. Gill did was admirable, his right, and his duty as a citizen.

These police talking heads would prefer him to meekly submit to the demands of his assailant. What then? Once you have submitted your life is in the hands of your assailant who may have bigger plans for you than just taking your money. Even if your money is all they want, it is still part of your life they are stealing, and I say to hell with that and to hell with anyone who demands the lawful should be ruled by the lawless.

We need more men like Mr. Gill. He truly is a man, after all, and we should try to live up to the example he sets, rather than promoting a culture of victimhood.

Well said, Dr. Ackermann.

Father Shoots, Kills Thugs Who Kidnapped his Daughter and used her as a Human Shield During Home Invasion

The story is terrifying.  A man, faced with two large black men invading his home, must choose how to deal with the thugs holding his daughter captive as a human shield.

Dialing 9-1-1?  Clearly not an option.

The setting: St. Louis, Missouri, 11pm.

The 17-year-old daughter is at her car grabbing stuff to bring into the house.  Two masked thugs grab her, put a gun to her head and, using her as a human shield, force their way inside the home.

The girl’s father watches this go down and grabs his own gun.

He fires at the masked home invaders, killing one and seriously wounding the other as they entered the front door.

Terrell Johnson, 31, was killed.

His accomplice, Cortez McClinton, 33, received multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and thighs. He is expected to recover.

Cortez McClinton, charged with second-degree murder, kidnapping, burglary and armed criminal action, was released from jail this past January when prosecutors dropped the murder charge against him when nobody would testify against him.

Clearly a model citizen, I have no doubt Cortez McClinton would not harm a soul inside the home he just invaded using a 17-year-old as a hostage while holding a gun to her head.

It was all for show.

Or so his family and friends will no doubt assert as they whine about his being shot and his accomplice now lies on a slab in the morgue.

On the bright side the 17-year-old daughter was completely unharmed even though her attackers suffered fatal and serious injuries, respectively.

Nobody else in the family was harmed inside the home either.

Only the masked home-invading scumbags were killed or injured, exactly as they ought.

Given the record of Cortez McClinton it seems a shame he will survive his injuries, but given that record it is also highly unlikely he will learn from the error of his ways.

With previous convictions for drugs and vehicle tampering and a dropped murder charge due to lack of witnesses, McClinton (right) does not appear to be a candidate for rehabilitation.

He will also face felony murder charges for the death of his accomplice as his actions led directly to Terrell Johnson’s death.

How appropriate.

Police say there are no charges against anyone inside the home as this is a clear-cut case of self-defense.

Again, how appropriate.

There are times when dialing 9-1-1 simply isn’t an option.  Everyone in that home would be dead long before police could ever arrive.

The only thing that kept them alive was a father who owns guns who possessed the willingness to use deadly force to save the lives of his his daughter and the rest of his family.

NOTE: His wife also shot at the intruders holding her daughter hostage. Now there are two parents I’d be proud to know!

May 29, 2014 Attacks and Mocks Women Gun Owners

In a disparaging article titled “Meet the Glocker Moms“, writer Alexander Zaitchik takes aim at the NRA and its female members. The National Rifle Association held their annual general meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana, and this brought on the attack against both the NRA and its female gun owners.

Why attack women gun owners? According to the NRA, says the article, a full 25% of this year’s attendees were female. Gun-owning moms comprehend that defending their lives and the lives of their children is important. As a demographic women gun owners are growing daily and are now a force to be reckoned with.

That ought to scare the crap out of anti-gun weanies like Mayor Bloomberg.

“It’s not just about ‘moms,'” said Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation.

“The future is about all of the non-traditional groups: single women, the LGBT community, people living in cities, Hispanics who come to this country to enjoy our freedoms, including Second Amendment rights. Those are the only places we can grow. That’s where you find the future of the gun-rights movement.”

As he began packing up his materials, I asked Gottlieb if the rapid adoption of maternal messaging — by the NRA, by the Glocker Moms, by industry — might not betray a fear, or at least a nervousness, that suburban women and mothers, if unchallenged, could swing the political momentum toward serious gun reform.

“Fear? Look around,” he said, gesturing at the bustling arms bazaar extending in every direction.

“No, I really don’t think these guys are too worried about their future.”

There is a joke floating around the internet about a granny who gets pulled over at a traffic stop. The cop asks if there are any firearms in the car. She pulls out a shotgun, a handgun and then another handgun. The cop asks her what she’s so afraid of. Her answer?

“Not a damned thing!”

It’s not about fear. It’s about self-defense and the knowledge that when criminals attack the only ones present are we mere citizens. A mother will defend herself and her children like no other.

Anyone doubting that reality forgets the lesson of Oklahoma’s Sarah Dawn McKinley, the courageous young woman and mother who killed one of the would-be home invaders threatening her and her children. As I wrote then,

Like Sarah and any right-thinking human being, I believe the lives of a mother and her infant son are ALWAYS worth more than the pond scum trying to do them harm.

A mother has a duty to do everything in her power to protect her children. That includes shooting the would-be attackers dead. Anyone who believes otherwise is, to be polite, extremely misguided.

There is, however, one positive note to Zaitchik’s gun-phobic article.

Canadian pro-gun entrepreneur Kim Page’s company Packing in Pink, which manufactures and markets firearm safety gear specifically designed for women, featured prominently in the photos attached to the article.

Even the morons at like Alexander Zaitchik ought to realize firearm safety is important. Okay, I realize I’m probably giving them more credit than they deserve.

According to these cowards, guns belong in the hands of the police, military and the bodyguards of Very Important Liberals only.

Why do I keep forgetting that?

So-called Mexican “Vigilantes” secured their towns from drug cartels… only then did government step in to “help them”

Ryan Steacy, Attila Vaski liked this post

The western Mexican state of Michoacan is comprised of decent, hardworking people. Fed up with drug cartel crime and murders as well as police and government inaction dealing with them, these decent, hardworking people did what any self-respecting group of citizens should: They took up arms and rid themselves of the scourge the government was too cowardly to deal with.

Now that residents successfully rid their towns of the drug cartel the Mexican government is sweeping in to “save the day”.

Only governmental saving the day looks the same as it always does.. a lot like the tyranny they just rid themselves of.

In this case residents will be “allowed” too keep their guns… so long as they register their guns, of course.

The ceremony in the town of Tepalcatepec, where the movement began in February 2013, will involve the registration of thousands of guns by the federal government and an agreement that the so-called “self-defense” groups will either join a new official rural police force or return to their normal lives and acts as voluntary reserves when called on. The government will go town by town to organize and recruit the new rural forces.

This is a process of giving legal standing to the self-defense forces,” said vigilante leader Estanislao Beltran.

Not everyone is thrilled with the government stepping in after the fact, demanding all firearms be registered, and those individuals join the new rural police force.

Given the government’s lack of ability to deal with drug cartel violence, many couldn’t care less about the “legal standing” of themselves or their firearms.

We don’t want them to come, we don’t recognize them,” vigilante Melquir Sauceda said of the government and the new rural police forces. “Here we can maintain our own security. We don’t need anyone bringing it from outside.”

There is a lesson here for those willing to see it. A free people does not need permission from government to protect themselves, their families, their communities and their livelihoods. Such a concept is an athema to liberty.

The new rural forces are designed to be a way out of an embarrassing situation, in which elected leaders and law enforcement agencies lost control of the entire state to the pseudo-religious Knights Templar drug cartel. Efforts to retake control with federal police and military failed.

If government is so all-powerful, they wouldn’t need a way out of this “embarrassing situation”, would they?

This (demobilization) agreement is just something to please the government,” said Rene Sanchez, 22, a vigilante from the self-defense stronghold of Buenavista. “With them or without them, we are going to keep at it.

Residents of Canada and the United States ought to listen to the simple wisdom of the so-called vigilantes of the Michoacan state of Mexico. It’s a maxim I’ve stated repeatedly over the years.

The only ones present when criminals strike are we mere citizens… the saviours of government and the police are nowhere to be found until much later, if we are lucky enough to still be alive upon their arrival.

Self-defense is deeply personal, and we must take responsibility for our own safety. Nobody can assume that responsibility for us.

Government cannot provide it for us, no matter how much they try to convince us otherwise.

Two Home-Invading Thieves Shot Dead and Who does Mom Blame?

Attila Vaski, Ryan Steacy liked this post

Two young criminals, Steven Crider (16) and Michael Sambrano (14), discovered the error of their ways in the early morning hours of May 4, 2012. Upon breaking into the Sacramento, California, home of an elderly woman in her 60’s they were both shot dead.

California homeowners are protected by legislation that protects their right to defend themselves and their property, often called “Stand Your Ground” legislation. Police ruled the shootings self-defense, not a stretch given both dead criminals were found inside the house.

Naturally Lisa Sambrano, mother of the dead 14 year old home invader, complained to the media,

I just don’t understand why they were shot multiple times.

Then you are a profoundly dumb woman, Lisa Sambrano. Your son broke into the home of an elderly woman whose home. He was a criminal who thought he could do as he pleased with no consequences for his criminal actions. He was wrong and paid for his stupidity with his life.

Christina Sambrano, slain criminal Michael Sambrano’s younger sister, whined to the press:

They were on their way out the door, and I just think it was wrong that they were shot.”

Given your younger daughter sees no issue with her brother’s criminal actions, Ms. Sambrano, only with his being shot dead because of them, you really ought to brush up on your parenting skills and teach your daughter the concept of “personal responsibility“. Clearly your daughter has no clue about this fundamental building block of character.

A couple of questions you may also want to ask yourself, Ms. Sambrano, are these:

1. What was your 14-year-old son doing breaking into a home after midnight on a school night?
2. Why was he not home in bed getting a good night’s sleep in preparation for school on Monday morning?

Let me guess… you have absolutely no idea.

Here’s how a rational and sensible people view the killing of your criminal son and his moronic friend Steven Crider.

Other residents in the neighborhood believe the teens got what they deserved for burglarizing homes in the area. Robert Robinson’s home was burglarized twice and he said:

Justice was served.

David Keck, another neighbor told the media:

He was not an innocent bystander. I’m sorry the little boys or teenagers were killed, but if it’s my family, my family comes first.

It is unfortunate that two young men lost their lives in the early morning hours of May 4th, 2014. However, I will not lose any sleep over their untimely deaths as both these young criminals got precisely what they deserved.

Thieves broke into this elderly woman’s home two times prior to May 4th as well, April 20th and April 29th. After the second break-in she called her brother, a man in his 70’s, to come stay with her for a while. She was naturally scared for her life after being broken into twice in the early hours of the morning in under two weeks.

Less than a week later Steven Crider and Michael Sambrano broke into her home. Fingerprint evidence showed that one of the two teens, although police did not specify which one, matched prints from the break-in on April 20th.

Yeah, good little boys these, right?

On the plus side of two dead home-invading criminals is the unintended consequence it provides… this area of Sacramento will likely be safe from robberies and break-ins for some time to come.

That’s a good thing.

Welcome to the Firearms Community by Dr. Mike Ackermann

Attila Vaski, Mike Ackermann liked this post

The following is from a post on Facebook by Dr. Mike Ackermann in response to a question from a new shooter about what she should do before purchasing her first firearm. I believe it is a “must-read” for everyone, shooter or not.

1) All lawful shooters are our friends.

I support them all, even if someone else’s sport is something I do not personally like. For example, I don’t particularly like trophy hunting, but as long as it is done ethically and legally I realize that it adds financial value to maintaining healthy animal populations and ecosystems, creates jobs in otherwise impoverished areas, and huge injections of funds into local economies and conservation programs.

2) There is no such thing as a bad gun.

Guns have no volition of their own. They are just tools that will do what we ask of them. There is a huge range of interest in everything from single shot black powder antique muzzle loaders to fully auto, belt fed, crew served machine guns, and everything in between. All lawful gun use is good, even those activities I personally have no time for, interest in, or money for, and I support them all.

3) Guns are designed for a single purpose, and that is NOT “to kill”.

Guns are designed to launch projectiles in order to protect human and livestock life from predation, to provide food for the table, to help their owners win competitions, and to advance the engineering evolution of the industry. They are no more purposefully designed kill than are knives or baseball bats.

4) Assault is a verb, not an adjective.

There is no such thing as an “assault weapon“. That is a term invented by the anti-gun lobby to besmirch us in the minds of the non-shooters and to make them fear us. The proper terms are “modern battle rifle“, “personal defense firearm“, and “modern sporting rifle“.

5) Anything is a weapon when used to assault someone or some animal.

The anti-gun lobby has called our tools “weapons” for a couple decades now. We should not help them denigrate us. I call my guns “guns” or “firearms“.

6) Guns do not have morality.

Anything can be used for good, unintentionally misused to cause harm, or intentionally abused for evil. The gun has no morality and is vastly more often safely used than misused or abused.

7) Firearms are the Great Equalizer.

Guns are the only tools that allow the old, the ill, the weak, the small, the female, and the few to effectively defend themselves against the young, healthy, strong, large, male mob intent on harming them.

8) Police have no Magic Abilities or Special Powers.

A cop is just a high school graduate who passed a security check, with 20 hours of firearm training divided into 15 hours classroom and 5 hours on the range. They have no special secret powers. Most never handle their firearms outside of mandatory annual qualifications that require them to hit a human sized target from contact range to 7 meters.

Compared to this, most lawful shooters will have much broader and deeper knowledge and experience with firearms than the police. The lawful gun owner is 1/3 as likely as the general population and 1/2 as likely as the police to ever be involved in criminal violence.

The public has no problem allowing the police to carry guns in public and yet for some strange reason the thought of one of us doing so has them, the police, quaking in fear.

When someone calls 911, what they want is for someone else to bring a gun to their aid; a gun that would be much more useful in their hand at the moment when they are in the act of being attacked than in the holster of a cop who is, at best, several minutes away.

The bad guy is always the one to choose the time, manner, and place of their attack, and they will always do so to maximize their chances of success, not yours or the police’s.

If all you do is call 911, you will wait the rest of your tragically prematurely truncated life for help that will inevitably arrive in time to gather evidence from your body for presentation in court later.

9) Concealed Carry of Firearms Saves Lives

Every jurisdiction that has gotten out of the way of lawful, trained, effective personal defense (AKA concealed carry) has seen huge declines in criminal violence.

All the mass killings are in “Gun-Free Zones“. 95% of violence in America occurs in 5% of the land area, and those areas are typically “gun free” inner city.

10) “If it just saves one life then it’s worth it” is a propaganda slogan.

The anti-gun lobby attempts to claim the moral high ground, stating that “if it just saves one life then it’s worth it” to destroy the rights of millions to effectively defend themselves in order to futilely abuse the legal process to try to stop a few murders, and at a huge cost in life and freedom.

The anti-gun lobby projects their own terrified self-image onto us. They are the ones who would be dangerous with a gun, who are filled with impotent rage, not us.

Thus endeth today’s lesson. I hope you find it informative.

Your homework, should you so desire is to read this:

Families of Slain Robbers Threaten to Sue Man who Killed Robbers While Defending Himself

Parents-In-Denial-Sale-PFTR“He was such a good boy!  He didn’t deserve to die!”

“Robbing a convenience store shouldn’t be a death sentence!”

“He had no right to kill my boy.  He was a good boy!”

Bla bla bla.

If he was such a good boy, why did he rob a store at gunpoint, and then threaten an innocent shopper outside the store he just robbed?

It’s a simple question.

The answer is a lot more complicated, of course.  As the Bible tells us in Romans 3:10, “As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one;’” meaning that good people do bad things all the time.

It’s in our nature.

The harsh reality for the families of the two slain armed robbers is that Actions Have Consequences. If you rob a store with a gun, odds are you will pay steep consequences for that choice.

This all unfolded at Krick’s Korner Store in Reading, Pennsylvania.  A private citizen walking down the street saw two men inside the store pointing firearms at the store clerk.  He immediately called 9-1-1 to report the armed robbery in progress.  Then the two armed criminals exited the store and threatened him.

He shot them both dead.

A third suspect was arrested a short time later.  He wisely did not resist arrest.

“[William] had no right to lose his life over something that man could have called the police for,” said Virginia Medina, mother of slain armed-robber William Medina. “He took the law into his own hands and walked away scot-free.”

Uh, no, that is not what happened.

He DID call the police.  Only after your thug son threatened his life did this civilian defend himself, meeting your son’s lethal force with his own.  He acted in self-defense.  There is a difference.

Reading Police Department Sgt. John Solecki said in an interview with local media,

“He saw the first suspect with his arms extended, holding a large revolver, and he looked and saw a second suspect, also with his arms extended.”

Alexander Garcia-Bialek, the would-be getaway driver, was charged Tuesday with second degree murder and conspiracy.

“He was charged as an accomplice because he was involved in the planning of this robbery where they targeted that store,” said Solecki.

Keith Heckman, commenting on this story, wrote:

Let’s get this straight America. “Good boys” don’t point guns and rob people. Good boys shoot the guys that rob people.

If getting shot down like a dog in the street isn’t on your Bucket List, then don’t rob stores at gunpoint.

You should also avoid pointing weapons at individuals willing to stand up to thieving thugs like William Medina and Robert De Carr.

Actions Have Consequences.

Now there are three words to live by…

A Police Chief Defending Citizens’ Right to Self Defense?

Detroit-Police-Chief-James-CraigI’ve written about Detroit Police Chief James Craig before. I could probably write about him weekly and the message would still be missed by those too brain-dead to comprehend Craig’s support of civilian self defense.

James Craig believes each and every one of us has the right to defend ourselves against aggression, even if that means not dialing 9-1-1 until the problem is already solved.

By “problem” I mean the home invader, the attempted rapist, the violent criminal intent on robbing you or worse… should one of we mere citizens shoot a bad guy James Craig will not lose any sleep over it and he doesn’t want the good citizens of Detroit to do so either.

“Coming from California (Craig was on the Los Angeles police force for 28 years), where it takes an act of Congress to get a concealed weapon permit, I got to Maine, where they give out lots of CCWs (carrying concealed weapon permits), and I had a stack of CCW permits I was denying; that was my orientation. I changed my orientation real quick. Maine is one of the safest places in America. Clearly, suspects knew that good Americans were armed.”

Instead of doing what Canada’s RCMP is currently, namely harassing law-abiding gun owners and turning them into criminals and fabricating stories about mass shootings with AK47s, Detroit Police Chief James Craig is doing what police ought to do.

He’s going after actual criminals.

He feels no need to manufacture them out of his law-abiding citizenry, and for that he is to be commended.

Going after the bad guys does come at a cost, of course, which is why the RCMP doesn’t seem very interested in following James Craig’s lead.

Bad guys do stupid things when police get in the way of their “earning” power, and Detroit Police Chief James Craig’s case is no exception. He’s knocked such a hole in Detroit’s drug crime that the dealers want him dead. Literally.

The FBI and local police are investigating a threat to kill Police Chief James Craig, the chief said Saturday.

The threat, made over the internet by a man believed to be a drug dealer, was uncovered Friday, Craig said.

“We got information that a dope dealer basically said ‘We need to take the chief out,’” Craig said. “We investigated it, and it was deemed a credible threat. This is the kind of thing that happens in third-world countries.”

Craig believes the man who made the threat is upset because police are costing him money by ramping up the number of drug-house raids they conduct.

“We’re raiding, on average, 35 dope houses a week, and we’ve done five large-scale sweeps, and it’s putting a serious crimp in the dope dealers’ money,” Craig said. “What I take from this is, what we’re doing is working. This guy actually did me a favor, because he let me know we’re making a difference by going after these dope dealers.”

“I want to be there when we get this guy. I want to look him in the eye. You don’t threaten any police officer, let alone the police chief.”

Here in Canada, however, we’re content with turning over 13,000 law-abiding citizens into criminals overnight, all at the whim of some RCMP bureaucrats.

As I’ve said before and will no doubt say again, law-abiding gun owners don’t shoot cops. Real criminals will.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee – How did this America-hating, anti-gun zealot get elected in Texas?

Texas, at least in my mind, is the one place where the Liberty mindset still resides in America.

The famous phrase “Don’t Mess With Texas!” is one I’ve heard more times than I can even remember and it instills in me a sense of pride, knowing there is a place on the planet where stupidity can’t take root.

My own memories of Texas back in the late ‘80s are some of the fondest I have, and the people I met there were proud, Liberty-minded folks who would give you the shirt off their backs if that’s what you needed. Those Texans were some of the finest human beings you could ever hope to meet.

Given that experience, when I see a chucklehead spouting off on the evening news that Americans should “just turn in your guns”… the very last place I would think this chucklehead calls home is Texas!

Yet, sadly, that’s precisely the case.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee wants you to turn in your guns

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee
wants you to turn in your guns

The chucklehead I’m referring to is Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat (I’m shocked!) who somehow managed to get herself elected in the Lone Star State despite her misguided notions of what Texas and Liberty stand for.

I would personally just say to those who are listening, maybe you want to turn in your guns,” she said.

Oh no, I’m not going to take your guns. But look at what Dick’s Sporting Goods did … they wanted to be part of the solution and part of America,” she added.

Ah yes, the beauty of “the politics of inclusion” where you’re only included if you agree with Liberal stupidity.

The implication this woman is making is quite clear. If you own guns, you’re no longer “part of America“.

If you’re not offended by that, please check your pulse.

Sheila Jackson Lee clearly has never read the United States Constitution, nor did she comprehend a single word of the Oath of Office she swore… you know… that pesky little statement where she swears to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is offensive to everything America stands for. That she calls Texas home only heightens that offensiveness.

As for Dick’s Sporting Goods, they are not “being part of the solution”, they’re pandering to political correctness.

Out of respect for the victims and their families, during this time of national mourning we have removed all guns from sale and from display in our store nearest to Newtown and suspended the sale of modern sporting rifles in all of our stores chainwide.”

What Dick’s Sporting Goods is saying by “boldly” stating they will no longer sell “modern sporting rifles” to law-abiding Americans is an insult to any rational human being.

A mentally-ill criminal went on a murderous rampage in Newtown, Connecticut, and Dick’s Sporting Goods solution is to hold every single law-abiding person in America responsible for that crime.

That is insulting. That is offensive.

I will never spend a single penny atDick's Sporting Goods.

I will never spend a single penny at
Dick’s Sporting Goods.

I just added Dick’s Sporting Goods to my list of businesses I will never patronize.

Any company that willingly vilifies hundreds of millions of innocent people for the heinous crimes of one mentally-ill criminal is not a company I want anything to do with.

They will never see a single penny of my hard-earned cash, and I would suggest they never see a penny of yours either.

By straddling both sides of the fence they show themselves for what they are: cowards terrified of their own shadows willing to pander to the very forces that would put them out of business.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

Millions of law-abiding Americans didn’t shoot anyone yesterday.

We didn’t shoot anyone today.

We’re not going to shoot anyone tomorrow, either.

And we’re NOT going to stand idly by while Constitution-haters like Congress-Critter Sheila Jackson Lee and the cowards at Dick’s Sporting Goods try and hold us responsible for the crimes of others.

Deal with it.

Now you can have my handgun

San Antonio – The One Theatre Shooting You’ve Never Heard Of

Does anyone aside from me find it bizarre that the mainstream press utterly ignores shootings where the would-be mass killer is stopped by a good guy with a gun?

The restaurant and theatre shooting in San Antonio, just 2 days after the school shooting tragedy in Connecticut, is basically a ghost story as far as the mainstream media is concerned. Outside of “pro-gun” circles, it’s practically unheard of.

Those of us who comprehend the only thing that stops evil in its tracks is a good guy with a gun, or in the case of the San Antonio theatre shooting, a good girl with a gun, believe this case should be front page news in every newspaper in the nation.

An unidentified woman was on guard at the Santikos Mayan Palace 14 theater complex the night of the shooting so when the armed moron, who had just shot his ex-girlfriend in the restaurant next door, entered the theatre to see who else he could shoot, he found his own body riddled with bullets instead.

Needless to say, he didn’t shoot anyone else after that.

Why not?

Because a trained woman with a firearm in hand refused to allow any more innocent bodies drop that night.

No-Handguns-AllowedThat’s also why you won’t hear this story anywhere on the mainstream media… there was no trail of dead bodies for the news cameras to follow; no spilled blood for the newscaster to bathe in while she weeps, wails and whines all while proclaiming “the gun” caused this awful tragedy.

The heroic woman, an off-duty Bexar County police officer, is being honored for her brave and life-saving actions but, as I said, you won’t hear about her or the award she is receiving on the evening news.

A woman stopping a mass shooting isn’t news. Only a high body count that gives a biased news media a platform to advance their anti-gun agenda is news. Only another thoroughly preventable tragedy inside one of their glorious Gun-Free Zones is worthy of the national media’s attention.

This woman and her story should be front-page news across America, but it is not. Sadly, the only people who will ever even know about her and what she did that fateful night in December are the good citizens of San Antonio honoring her, and good folks like me and perhaps you who are reading this article.

The mainstream media will continue to totally ignore this woman and her heroism… all because there is no body count and therefore no story… at least in their sad and pathetic little minds.

You’d think the fact that there was no body count, that a mass murder was avoided, would be proudly trumpeted from the rooftops, yet it is not.

Instead we glorify mass murder and vilify or ignore those who prevent it.

That truly is a national tragedy and a disgrace for the profession of journalism across America.

Ian Thomson’s Interview with SunTV’s Brian Lilley

The day after Ian Thomson was acquitted of bogus unsafe storage charges in Welland, Ontario, Brian Lilley from the SunTV show Byline interview him. Here is that interview.

If you are able to help Ian Thomson with part of his outstanding $30,000 legal bill for defending himself against charges that should never have been brought in the first place, please send your contributions payable to:

Ian Thomson found NOT GUILTY of safe storage charges

January 3, 2012

Ian Thomson of Port Colbourne, Ontario, was found NOT GUILTY by Justice Colvin in a 45-minute decision that finally takes the weight off the man who had the audacity to defend his life from masked men trying to murder him in his home while he slept.

It’s a case that should never happened.

Police should have commended Thomson for his restraint in firing warning shots over the heads of the men who tried to murder him, not arrest him on bogus safe storage charges.

Crown Counsel should have declined to prosecute because it is not in the public interest to proceed with such an asinine case.  Then again, Crown Counsel should have charged the men who tried to kill Ian Thomson with attempted murder too… something they just couldn’t bring themselves to do.

Naturally, when the Crown Counsel’s head is stuffed this far into his own behind, he won’t accept the decision of the court.  Long before the decision came down today, January 3rd, Crown prosecutors made it very clear they would appeal the decision if it didn’t go their way.

I truly do not comprehend the mindset of police and lawyers who would rather see a man dead, burned alive, than defend his life against masked men trying to murderer him.

It makes no sense to me.

Unless, that is,  I accept the fact that police and crown prosecutors, at least in Ontario, do not believe we mere citizens of Canada should be “allowed” to defend our lives in the face of imminent and mortal danger.

It’s fine for them, of course… just not for the rest of us.

The sheer hypocrisy of this is, well, disgusting.

Let me leave you with a few thoughts I wrote almost a year ago in an article titled “Vigilantism vs Self-Defense: Why Bob Rae is a buffoon completely out of touch with reality

…in the early morning hours of August 22, 2010, Port Colborne, Ontario resident Ian Thomson used a legally-owned and registered handgun to fire warning shots over the heads of the three murderous cretins (no relation to our former prime minister) who were attempting to kill him by burning down Mr. Thomson’s home with him inside it.

The police and Crown prosecutors have decided that saving his own life is not acceptable behaviour.  Instead, Crown prosecutors seem to be content that Ian Thomson should have dialed 9-1-1 and then promptly died at the hands of his attackers, like a good little sheeple.

A police officer actually had the gall to say that Thomson was able to retrieve his firearms “too quickly”, therefore he was obviously guilty of the unsafe storage of firearms.

It’s an asinine comment and an even more asinine conclusion to draw.  Ian Thomson’s life was in immediate and imminent danger from three men caught on video cameras screaming death threats and tossing Molotov cocktails at his home.

It was only his ability to retrieve his firearms and fire a couple of warning shots to scare off his would-be murderers that allows Ian Thomson to be alive to suffer the abusive prosecution he is currently facing, not to mention the moronic comments of that policeman and now Bob Rae.

This is beyond absurd.  If an inmate inside a maximum security prison can use a concealed weapon to kill another inmate according the the Supreme Court of Canada (R. v. Kerr, [2004] 2 S.C.R. 371, 2004 SCC 44), then why can’t a man with no criminal record and a legally-owned firearms defend his life against three men actively trying to murder him?

And the 2012 Hypocrite of the Year Award goes to…

The voting is finally complete and the 2012 Hypocrisy Award goes to…

Nancy Pelosi - Runner-Up for 2012 Hypocrite-of-the-Year Award

Nancy Pelosi – Runner-Up for 2012 Hypocrite-of-the-Year Award

Who else? Barack Obama.

The gun-banning ditz Nancy Pelosi was a close, as expected.

The man who is guarded by more men with guns than a tin-pot third-world dictator has the unmitigated gall to tell Americans that guns make them less safe.

How do you spell “hypocrite“?

There is something very hypocritical about a man, whose own children are protected by armed guards every second of every day as he is, telling Americans they cannot be armed to protect themselves and their own children.

It’s the quintessential Nanny State mentality, where the standard is always “Do as I say, not as I do”.

It’s essential that Obama be protected by dozens of armed men… he’s so important, after all! His children must be protected at all costs because they’re, well, the kids of someone very important.

I hope and pray that Americans tell Obama and his little gun-banning lapdog Nancy Pelosi to take their stupid gun ban and stuff it somewhere deeply unpleasant; that Americans will tell these hypocrites en masse that they’ll give up their guns just as soon as Obama’s armed guards give up theirs.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander? Not a chance.

Those who believe they are better than we mere citizens will never subject themselves to the same asinine laws they insist we live with.

Hypocritical Anti-Gunners – Careful What You Wish For

Anti-gun zealots got a lot more than they bargained for after publishing the names and home addresses of New York handgun permit holders.

On December 24, 2012, The Journal News got up on it’s high horse and published an article titled “The gun owner next door: What you don’t know about the weapons in in your neighborhood“, which included links to two interactive maps. These online maps contained the names and addresses of thousands handgun permit holders in New York’s Westchester and Rockland counties.

red_icon-246x250Needless to say, gun owners and privacy advocates were furious, just as Canadians were back when the Ottawa Citizen pulled a similar stunt here in Canada. The only difference was the Canadian information didn’t contain names and addresses of gun owners, “just” their postal codes along with every firearm they owned.

This time it’s far worse as the names and home addresses of every permit holder in these two counties are displayed on these maps.

Common sense and decency appear to be rare commodities at The Journal News, as evidenced by the self-righteous justification spewed forth by Janet Hasson, president and publisher of The Journal News Media Group.

“New York residents have the right to own guns with a permit and they also have a right to access public information.”

Janet Hasson is correct legally, if not morally. Under current law, the names and addresses of all license holders is considered public information.

5. Filing of approved applications. The application for any license, if granted, shall be filed by the licensing officer with the clerk of the county of issuance, except that in the city of New York and, in the counties of Nassau and Suffolk, the licensing officer shall designate the place of filing in the appropriate division, bureau or unit of the police department thereof, and in the county of Suffolk the county clerk is hereby authorized to transfer all records or applications relating to firearms to the licensing authority of that county. The name and address of any person to whom an application for any license has been granted shall be a public record.

Clearly this law needs to be changed to protect the personal information of license holders.

That said, just because you can do something, does that really mean you should? Just because it’s legal, does that mean it’s the right thing to do?

No-Handguns-Allowed-150x150As long as you’re a gun-hating zealot, the answer is a resounding YES! Anything that can advance the anti-gun agenda is fair game, especially if it endangers the lives of those neanderthal gun owners.

CynDee Royle, editor and vice-president of the paper, said after the article was published,

“We knew publication of the database would be controversial, but we felt sharing as much information as we could about gun ownership in our area was important in the aftermath of the Newtown shootings. People are concerned about who owns guns and how many of them there are in their neighborhoods.”

People willing to jump through all the legal hoops to obtain a handgun permit in New York State are hardly the criminals-in-waiting Royle and Hasson makes them out to be. They are, in fact, the most law-abiding citizens there are.

I think an interactive map publicizing the name and home address of every convicted pedophile would be far more useful to citizens concerned about the safety of their children.

Then, of course, there are the Unintended Consequences.

The problem with what The Journal News did is far greater than it appears on the surface. It’s not just about an invasion of privacy, it’s about the safety and security of every person included on that map, which just happens to include law enforcement as well.

One very upset member of law enforcement wrote under a pseudonym:

My name and address appear on that map and to say the least, I’m pissed. In all my years as a LEO, I listed my telephone using a pseudonym and my vehicles and driver’s license came back to a post office box. Now these idiots have identified my address.

All the cases I worked as a detective involved career criminals and lots and lots of those low-lifes were sent to prison with extended sentences. Hell, they all knew my name as the cop that put them in prison but none were able to find me outside of the detective squad where I worked.

So now I have to be on super high alert wherever I go just in case one of these nit-wits decides to look me up? WTF!!!

Well, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander too, right? Apparently not, at least as far as The Journal News website is concerned.

When Christopher Fountain posted the name, home address and phone number for the paper’s publisher, Janet Hanson, (3 Gate House Lane, Mamaroneck NY 105643 (248-) 594-2197) that comment was promptly deleted.

Seems all this talk of “freedom of information” is just a one-way street.

Shocking, I know!

network-blue-150x150As a result of this, Christopher Fountain made a decision.

If posting her name, address and phone number wasn’t okay on the newspaper’s website, he’d post that information on his own blog. He then went a few miles further and posted the names, addresses, phone numbers and anything else he could find out about the employees of The Journal News to his blog.

Suddenly the shoe is on the other foot and the hypocrites at The Journal News are no longer quite so thrilled with all this “access to information”.

Again, I’m shocked.

Below you will find contact information for every person working at The Journal News as it was posted on Christopher Fountain’s blog. I’m reposting it here in the interest of openness and fairness. If it’s okay to publish the names and home addresses of New York State Gun owners, surely it’s okay to do the same for the publishers and staff of the newspaper so willing to hop up on their high, hypocritical horse, right?

White Plains newspaper The Journal- News, a Gannett publication, has published the full name and address of every licensed pistol permit holder in three New York counties. I don’t know whether the Journal’s publisher Janet Hasson is a permit holder herself, but here’s how to find her to ask:

God Gets the Blame for Human Depravity and the Mass Murder of Children

Every time some (lone?) madman wades into a crowd and goes on a killing spree — government-staged or otherwise — the Marxist media pundits smugly ask Christian-leaning gun advocates — and there’s a lot of ministers preaching gun ownership from their pulpits and websites such as Chuck Baldwin, Bradlee Dean, James David Manning and others — “How could God possibly allow this to happen?”, as though God had everything to do with the murders that were outside of human control!

Who are these morons the media hires to hide behind the scenes writing questions for these dimwits on the front lines? I swear, I’d be too embarrassed to ask them; I think I’d write my own script.

Humans — not God — were responsible for the killings.

The reason God gave mankind brains before planting the species on Earth was they could think for themselves; so they would know right from wrong.

Mankind is responsible for its own doings; God just comes along and picks up the pieces when a person loses his way and needs help and asks for guidance in how to be a good person and carry out the tenets of the Golden Rule.

After these tragedies occur where does everybody in the community, regardless of religious beliefs, go for solace? The church.

But interviewers the likes of Fox’s Neil Cavuto, CBS’s Jane Clayson and many anti-Christ, anti-gun presstitutes always try to pull a ‘gotcha’ on the interviewees.

girl_praying-173x250How could you possibly like such an evil God?

Sorry, buds, it didn’t work this time with former pastor Michael Huckabee and it didn’t work 11 years ago with evangelist Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of Billy Graham.

I dragged forth the profound words she spoke with CBS’s Jane Clayson shortly after 9-11, I believe it was. And I also believe “God: Food for Thought” (below) may have been brought to my attention by Joe Gingrich.

It is definitely worth another read, which obviously is why I saved it (glad I did; I can’t find it online again); Anne nailed it dead on…but first take a look at Huckabee’s similar present-day responses which shows that the pressitutes just don’t catch on. (I think Huckabee provided an earlier commentary on his own Fox show.)

But what sickens me is all the politicians and bureaucrats yammering about gun-control to the point of eliminating every last gun in the U.S., Canada, Australia, UK and the European countries, as though it’s possible.

Yet nobody in the political, anti-gun arena ever mentions no more government issuing of weapons to 18-year-old youth who serve in the military overseas, killing, killing, killing in foreign countries where innocent babies, children, women, men, elders are rounded up and exterminated or caught in the cross-fire. They are out of sight and thought of back home as valueless “collateral damage”. Wasn’t that the disgusting term coined by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Company? If not coined, he certainly used it liberally.

Our immoral, indecent, body-guarded politicians and gun-grabbers are hypocrites of the first order operating on double standards–if they have any standards at all. And we wonder why the younger generations have morally degenerated when they are using these sleazy adult thugs sitting in high places as their role models.

Huckabee Says Connecticut School Massacre Occurred Because We ‘Removed God From Our Schools’

By Igor Volsky on Dec 14, 2012

Former Arkansas governor and GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee attributed today’s deadly massacre in an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut to the lack of God and religion in public schools.

Addressing the tragedy on Fox News, Huckabee dismissed calls for stricter gun control and claimed that future violence can be prevented by solving matters of “the heart” and turning to God:

HUCKABEE: Ultimately, you can take away every gun in America and somebody will use a bomb. When somebody has an intent to do incredible damage, they’re going to find a way to do it… People will want to pass new laws, but unless you change people’s hearts, they’re our transition to the pastor side. This is a heart issue, it’s not something… laws don’t change this kind of thing.

NEIL CAVUTO (HOST): You know, inevitably people ask after tragedies like this, how could God let this happen?

HUCKABEE: “Well, you know, it’s an interesting thing. We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we’ve systematically removed God from our schools.

Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage because we’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, accountability?

That we’re not just going to have to be accountable to the police, if they catch us. But one day, we will stand before a Holy God in judgment. If we don’t believe that, then we don’t fear that.”

The American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer offered a similar explanation for the tragedy.

Mike Huckabee: Absence of God in Schools May Have Led to Conn. School Shooting

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee weighed in on the tragic Connecticut school shooting today in an appearance with Neil Cavuto on Fox News. The former Republican presidential candidate implied that a lack of focus on God in public schools may have played a part in today’s tragedy.

Host Cavuto introduced the topic:

“You know invariably people ask after tragedies like this…How could God let this happen?” asked Cavuto.

Well, you know, it’s an interesting thing,” replied Huckabee. “We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we’ve systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage because we’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, and accountability?” continued Huckabee.

“God wasn’t armed, he didn’t go to the school.”

Huckabee, who was a pastor for 12 years prior to entering the political arena, went on to say that he felt that God would be there to provide “hugs” and “therapy” for the survivors and the victims’ families.

“Maybe we ought to let [God] in on the front end and then we wouldn’t have to call on him, to show up when it’s all ‘said and done’ at the back end,” said Huckabee.

Huckabee is a conservative pro-gun individual so it came as no surprise when the subject matter turned to possible new gun control laws or regulations:

“Ultimately, you can take away every gun in America, and somebody will use a bomb…when somebody has an intent to do incredible damage, they will find a way to do it. People will want to pass new laws, but…this is a heart issue, laws don’t change this kind of thing.”…

God: Food for Thought

In light of the many perversions and jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it’s not funny, it’s intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham’s daughter was interviewed on the CBS Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her “How could God let something like this happen?” (regarding the attacks on Sept. 11).

Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said

“I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we’ve been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?”

In light of recent events…terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn’t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school … the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbour as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock’s son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he’s talking about.

And we said OK.

Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. The school administrators said no faculty member in this school better touch a student when he or she misbehaves because we don’t want any bad publicity, and we surely don’t want to be sued (there’s a big difference between disciplining, touching, beating, smacking, humiliating, kicking, etc.).

And we said OK.

Then someone said, let’s let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won’t even have to tell their parents.

And we said OK.

Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and they’re going to do it anyway, let’s give our sons all the condoms they want so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won’t have to tell their parents they got them at school.

And we said OK.

Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn’t matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs. Agreeing with them, we said it doesn’t matter to me what anyone, including the President, does in private as long as I have a job and the economy is good.

Then someone said let’s print magazines with pictures of nude women and call it wholesome, down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body.

And we said OK.

And then someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then further again by making them available on the Internet.

And we said OK, they’re entitled to free speech.

Then the entertainment industry said, let’s make TV shows and movies that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex. Let’s record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes. And we said it’s just entertainment, it has no adverse effect, nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead.

Now we’re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don’t know right from wrong, and why it doesn’t bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out.

I think it has a great deal to do with “WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.” Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world’s going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send ‘jokes’ through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you’re not sure what they believe, or what they WILL think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Ian Thomson’s attempted murderers sentenced today… but not for the charge of attempted murder

In the early morning hours of August 22, 2010, Ian Thomson’s home was attacked by four men screaming that they were going to kill him. They tossed Molotov cocktails at his home and dog kennel and did not back off until Ian Thomson grabbed one of his legally-owned pistols and fired a couple of warning shots over their heads.

Then, like the cowards they are, the would-be murderers ran for their pathetic little lives, presumably to change into some clean underwear.

Today the four cowards were sentenced to prison time, but not for the charge of attempted murder. They were never charged with attempted murder. They were charged instead with arson, a much lesser charge.

You’d have to ask the dim light-bulbs at the Crown prosecutors office in St. Catharines, Ontario, who are far more interested in putting the would-be murder victim in prison than his attempted murderers.

It sure doesn’t make any sense to me.

Here are the sentences handed down today for the 4 would-be murderers, who pleaded guilty to arson and disregard for human life:

  • Richard Coulthurst – 3 years.
  • Justin Lee – 3 years.
  • Michael Theberge – 2 years.
  • Randy Weaver – 2 years in addition to the 29 months he has already spent in jail.

Of course these men will only spend a fraction of their sentenced time behind bars.

Needless to say, Ian Thomson was not impressed.

I’m livid,” he said. “These guys have effectively destroyed my life. They should have got life, all of them.”

All four men also received a LIFETIME WEAPONS BAN but as Norm Lapierre of the Canadian Association for Self Defense wrote,

as if sociopaths who think nothing of ganging up 4 to 1 to burn their intended victim alive in his own house will have any reservations about re-arming themselves illegally at the earliest opportunity.”

All four men must also submit a DNA sample.

All that means is that the police will be able to link these criminals to their next crime scene AFTER THE FACT. And given their past history, there most certainly will be a “next victim”.

While all this goes on, the Crown Persecutor is still doing his level best to send Ian Thomson to prison for unsafe storage of a firearm. This charge was laid, in part, because the Crown Persecutor cannot abide the thought of a mere citizen using a firearm to save his own life, nor can he imagine that we may actually be able to retrieve one from legal storage in time to do so.

The Crown Persecutor is on record saying even “if” the judge decides to acquit Thomson next month, he will appeal that decision.

This is not based on any anticipated miscarriage of justice, merely on the fact he refuses to accept a verdict of “not guilty”.

Under Canada’s Firearms Act, as this case proves so very well, the process is the punishment and the Crown prosecutor will spare no taxpayer dollars ensuring Ian Thomson is punished as much as possible, regardless of the facts or the verdict.

He has, in all meaningful fashion, made himself Ian Thomson’s judge, jury, and executioner.

This is an utter miscarriage of justice, but this is what firearm owners in Canada have come to expect.

While your attempted murderers get a measly 2 years in prison, only a portion of which will actually be served behind bars, the Crown prosecutor wants to send Ian Thomson to prison for the “crime” of defending himself from clear and imminent danger by men intent on murdering him.

That’s not justice. That’s a travesty, a disgrace, a shame on the entire Canadian justice system.

Norman Lapierre will make the trip to Ian Thomson’s court hearing and I hope that anyone within commuting distance will show up as well.

We must all stand behind Ian Thomson, regardless of whether you are a firearms owner or not. This is a direct assault on his human right to defend his life, and ours as well.

If Ian Thomson loses this case, every Canadian citizen loses as well, for his Right to Self-Defense is OUR Right to Self-Defense. If he doesn’t have it, neither do we.

The judge is scheduled to render his decision on Ian Thomson’s fate at the Welland Courthouse on January 3rd, 2013 at 2:00pm.

Please attend and show your support, as this case affects YOUR right to defend yourself too.

Sometimes would-be robbers get just what they deserve

Gatineau, Quebec store owner Zhen Yang and his wife did what they had to do when two masked thugs tried to rob them:  They fought back.

But it’s how they fought that I found so inspiring.  After pepper-spraying one of the thieves in the face with bear spray, Yang heaved the young thug onto the counter and then spanked him twice before his wife kicked the jerk in the head a few times for good measure.

Naturally, police say you should not take matters into your own hands and “call the professionals”… but sometimes that’s just not practical. While police serve a valuable function, they can only investigate after the fact, and can’t return what was stolen from you.

That said, I’m not saying you should ALWAYS fight back like this brave couple did, but there are times where you just gotta do what you just gotta do, and for that I commend Zhen Yang and his wife for their brave actions.

And is it really any surprise that CBC would call these two upstanding citizens “vigilantesin the link to their article?

No, I guess not… the Nanny State Broadcasting Corporation doesn’t believe law-abiding citizens should actually stand up for themselves. How predictably pathetic of them.

What’s worse is the Gatineau Police response to Yang’s actions.

…charges will not be laid against the clerk because the accused men did not complain.

What???  Have they lost their freaking minds?   Who gives a crap if the thieves complained?  Certainly not me.

Yang and his wife were the victims here.  Why is that so hard for the Gatineau Police (and the CBC) to comprehend?

Anyway, I literally laughed out loud as I watched this little puke get exactly what he deserved!  Here then, for your viewing pleasure is How to Deal With Thugs, by Zhen Yang.
