Solar Power and Rainwater Collection Declared Illegal?

We’re told endlessly that we must be responsible for the energy we use; that we must be energy-self-sufficient; that the world as we know it will literally come to an end of we don’t buy into the eco-frenzy.

I have no issue with being energy-self-sufficient. In fact I completely agree with the philosophy.

Twenty-five years ago the power company wanted an exorbitant amount of my money in return for sending me an electricity bill each month. I told them to pound sand. I installed solar panels almost immediately and have run my home on them ever since.

Cut to Cape Coral, Florida, where Robin Speronis, a 54-year-old former real estate agent, had a judge declare her solar panels and rain-water collection system illegal.

From Living Off The Grid:

Speronis, a former real estate agent, decided to adopt an off the grid lifestyle in the home she owns after her husband died after a long illness. She cited her faith in God and desire to be self-sufficient.

It was an interest in empowering myself, like we did when we got off the health care system,” she said. “I wanted to look at every other part of my lifestyle and say, do I need this? Is this of value to me? If it went away tomorrow, what would I do? The more I got into it, the more exciting, the more of an adventure it became.

Then came the bureaucrats and with them their deeply ingrained fervor for “following the rules” and their highly illogical sense of injustice.

Last November a bylaw code enforcement officer showed up at the Speronis home and promptly tried evicting Robin Speronis from her own home.

The reason? Robin refused to use public utilities.

At the root of the case is an outdated and idiotic requirement that every home must be connected to the city water system. This dates back to the time when the city deemed using well water a sin and forced everyone to use the city water system.
The Cape Coral city bureaucrats now claim dominion over the skies and the water that falls freely from them. Collecting rain water is now considered a violation of this outdated (did I mention idiotic) city ordnance too.

Her case ended up in court, where Special Magistrate Harold S. Eskin made an utterly absurd ruling.

While declaring the bylaw regulations of Cape Coral redundant and unreasonable, Eskin ruled simultaneously that Robin Speronis violated both local city codes and the International Property Maintenance Code, which unilaterally declares any home without grid-sourced electricity and running water is “unsafe and unsanitary“.

In a word… Hogwash.

Speronis’s case should be a wakeup call for anyone living off the grid. The International Property Maintenance Code and similar regulations are on the books in many parts of the United States and Canada.

Speronis refuses to bow to the city’s demands, though, even while they force liens on her property and continue to issue more fines associated with her ‘violations.’ She is able to appeal the judge’s decision, which would allow her to carry on with her sustainable lifestyle.

She has said, “We have a long, long road to go. I’m sure justice will prevail.”

Living in harmony with nature is now a crime?

I can’t wait for the eco-freaks to catch onto this story.

They’ll surely shred Special Magistrate Harold S. Eskin with his own stupidity, and rightfully so.

Rep. Allen West has some choice words for useless US Ambassador to the United Nations

Allen West

Lieutenant Colonel Allen West
American Hero and Patriot

Lieutenant Colonel Allen West (Congressman for Florida’s 22 District) is one of my favourite American politicians, and for good reason.

He doesn’t mince words.

He doesn’t care of he offends the chuckleheads.

He calls things precisely as he sees them and doesn’t give a damn if he is “politically correct” when he does it.

He despises the cowardice of the Obama administration and wants to see aid to Libya stopped immediately. I couldn’t agree more.  It makes no sense to give millions of dollars to the very people who are murdering American citizens.

That is, to quote Lt. Col. Allen West, “asinine“.

In this interview from Fox News he makes it abundantly clear what he thinks about Susan Rice, the US Ambassador to the United Nations.

When I listened to the US Ambassador Susan Rice today several words came to mind:

asinine, naive, inept, incompetent and borderline ignorant

America Needs Change… in the White House.

Please support this principled man of integrity as he tries to bring common sense and decency back the American government.

If you have not seen what calls Lt. Col. Allen West’s “must watch speech” then I would urge you to watch  it today.

The US Government believes you’re a right-wing terrorist if…

The US Government believes you’re a right-wing terrorist if… you have a brain and aren’t afraid to use it.

The US Government routinely demeans, denigrates, ridicules, detests and prosecutes individuals for the “thought crime” of believing what the Constitution of the Constitution of the United States of America actually says.

The United States Government has, for a very long time now, had their priorities completely screwed up.

Last year a report out of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) titled “Right-Wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment“.  In that venerable piece of propaganda the DHS minions came to such mind-numbing conclusions as:

  • The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.
  • The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement.
  • Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists. DHS/I&A is concerned that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to boost their violent capabilities.

Let us not forget the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms “Fast and Furious” program, in which these morons couldn’t dump guns into the hands of known felons and drug cartels fast enough, all because they despise guns in the hands of law-abiding American citizens.  Their gross incompetence and stupidity only managed to get US Border Services Agent Brian A. Terry murdered.  It did nothing to further their aim of stripping Americans of their Second Amendment Rights.

Fallout from the BATF’s Fast and Furious scandal is still with us, and with any luck will help aid the downfall of “The Anointed One“, aka “The Empty Suit“, aka “America’s First Half-Black President” aka “The Coward In Chief “or as he calls himself today, Barack Hussein Obama in just a few short weeks.

Barack Hussein Obama will go down as the most cowardly president in American history, stripping that title from Jimmy Carter.  Who knew it would be possible for a US President to be more cowardly in the face of islamic terrorism than Jimmy Carter?

The latest from the mighty moron squad is the US Department of Justice (DOJ) training manual called “Terrorism Training For Law Enforcement“, in which something as simple as a bumper sticker on your vehicle or even having a map sitting on your passenger seat is deemed sufficient reason to violate your rights and search both you and your vehicle without a warrant.

Junking English for the Sake of IngSoc

The great failed experiment called the United Nations has come up with another bizarre notion.

This time it’s the outlawing of speech.

I don’t know if the Marxist deadheads hanging out in the tombstone-shaped, 37-floor UN building in Manhattan intend to prohibit all speech to bring complete silence to the land or just continue their rout of demonizing and redefining select, politically-incorrect English words like the Durham District School Board in Ontario did, as was recently brought to our attention by Christopher di Armani.

Or perhaps these self-avowed UN brain boxes overshot their intellectual capacities in an attempt to continue the development of Dr. Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof’s fabricated, international language known as Esperanto.

The Polish oculist and linguist’s noble idea was that a bland, uninteresting, artificial form of Newspeak would be an easy-to-learn, politically-neutral communication method capable of transcending nationalities while fostering international peace among races speaking a multitude of languages.

Personally, I don’t care what these bonehead, skin-discoloured alien illiterates do who speak the politically-incorrect English as a Second Language (ESL).

I grew up in a household where the motto was:

“Say what you mean and mean what you say.”

That truism still stands.

In other words, be truthful. Don’t be skirting the obvious by trying to wallpaper over negatives with positives.

I remember neighbour ladies avoiding uncomfortable words, whispering euphemisms like “the poor old dear has expired.” Having “expired” sounded deliciously naughty and unfit for children’s ears, so I naturally wanted to hear more.

When my mother cut through the fog that had obscured my comprehension, I protested.

“If the lady died, why in thunder didn’t somebody simply say so?”

It’s an age-old problem. Preference leans toward lying to cover up ugly truths with snaky words or otherwise using vocabulary as a powerful people-control tool.

Meanwhile, numbskull Marxist apparatchiks are trying to trash the English language. Again. Still.

The Cult of Obama’s ObamaNation Flag for sale on Obama’s official website!

The Cult of Obama, remaking America in his own image

The Cult of Obama, remaking America in his own image.  One Nation Under … Obama???

One Nation Under … Obama???

The Cult of Obama knows no shame. Remaking the United States in his divine image, Barack Hussein Obama has released his idea of the new American Flag.

Excuse me while I vomit into the nearest garbage can…

This piece of trash and another similar version in the outline of the continental United States are for sale on, the Pretender In Chief’s personal website devoted to the Cult of Obama.

The Cult of Obama is filled with true believers, that Obama is the Messiah and has come to save them from the evils of … well… everything not Obama.

It’s sad that while Obama continues to violate the law he will never be charged for a crime or challenged by the Lame-Stream Media.  This time he violates the U.S. Flag Code-Title 4, Ch. 1, Sec. 3 which states:

Use of flag for advertising purposes; mutilation of flag

Any person who, within the District of Columbia, in any manner, for exhibition or display, shall place or cause to be placed any word, figure, mark, picture, design, drawing, or any advertisement of any nature upon any flag, standard, colors, or ensign of the United States of America;

When is your private property not your own? Whenever a bureaucritter of the Nanny State says so.

Michel Beauchamp and Josee Landry's front yard garden

We like to believe that when we make the most expensive purchase of our lives, our family home, we’re actually the ones who own it.  It’s a fallacy, however, as more and more homeowners, if I can even call them that, are discovering across North America.

When we buy a piece of land and a house, we believe we can do what we want with that land and home.

Oh, we’re such silly people sometimes, aren’t we?  The bureaucritters of the Nanny State, ever desirous of control over our every waking moment, continually come up with stupider and stupider rules to inflict their will on us and our property.

It wouldn’t be so bad if these bureaucratic buffoons did not have the full power and weight of the State behind them, but they do.  Submit or Die seems to be the motto these Nanny State Bureaucrats live by, and they aren’t particularly caring about which one we do, either.

Anyone who knows the story of Carl Drega knows exactly what I’m talking about.  (For the full story on Carl Drega’s decades long nightmare that ended with his death please read The Ballad of Carl Drega by Vin Suprynowicz)

Michel Beauchamp and Josee Landry's front yard gardenThe latest case of bureaucratic stupidity comes out of La Belle Provence and the town of Drummondville, where Michel Beauchamp and Josee Landry are learning all about “approved” gardening from the mindless minions of the State.

Welcome to their municipal bylaw nightmare, where growing their own food is a crime punishable by a fine of $300 PER DAY for every day they do not comply with a bureaucratic order to remove their garden.

And why must they remove their beautiful and useful garden, you ask?  It doesn’t comply with The Rules, you silly citizen!  And the Rules say every front yard MUST… yes MUST contain the prescribed amount of useless green grass or else!

Ah yes, I remember now… The Rules Are More Important Than People.  How silly of me to forget, even for a moment, that it’s the Minions of The State who are in charge of my life and not me, a mere citizen.

Marxist Audacity and Mendacity

U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama is either a Pol Pot clone, whose arse should be fired out the White House door so fast he leaves a vapour trail, or else he is in dire need of a new speech writer.

The premise of his frenzied Roanoke Rant on July 13th sounded like the punch line to an old satirical joke, “Hi, I’m from the government; I’m here to help you.”

News Flash: The only thing the government is good for is getting in the way. Government cannot generate wealth; it can only seize wealth, under threat, and waste the money through redistribution.

At that Virginia camp-meeting, Obama left no doubt in anybody’s mind–Left, Right or Center–that he harbours unadulterated disdain for private enterprise and the middle class.

His infamous “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that” speech, which met with brutal backlash, essentially espoused that you shouldn’t get your head puffed up and take credit for something you didn’t do.

To his way of yammering, independent enterprisers are as worthless as lint unless they have government’s assistance.

According to him, you can’t claim to have done something useful on your own. You are dependent on the government. The globe doesn’t rotate without the government. Government made it all happen for you. Government built the roads and bridges. You didn’t invent the Internet, either. Government research did that so everybody else could get rich piggy-backing off of it.

Second News Flash: There would not have been any reason for the government to build infrastructure if private commerce hadn’t created the need.

Steven Boyd and Karen Bursey are the latest victims of Bureaucrat’s Rule #1

Anyone hanging out here for any length of time will already be familiar with Bureaucrat’s Rule #1, but for the benefit of any newcomers, here it is in all its repulsive glory:

Bureaucrat’s Rule #1:  The Rules are More Important than People

As you can see, it’s quite a simple rule and it is gleefully used the world over by tyrannical bureaucrats who love nothing more than crushing mere citizens under the weight of their ever-more-oppressive rules.

Steven Boyd and Karen Bursey bought some property in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland.  They proceeded to build their dream home and things were going fine until they discovered they had violated one of Conception Bay South’s many rules about how you can build on your own land.

The town bylaw says the home must be 1.5 metres from the property line.  They had an exemption of up to 1.35 metres by the town council.  Their home is 1.26 metres from that property line.

The problem was discovered after the foundation was poured, and was compounded by the shape of their property, located in a cul de sac.  The property lines are curved, not straight.

As other commentators have said, that’s about the length of a single poker card.

Hardly seems worth forcing someone to tear down their home, does it?

Mindless automaton of the State: Conception Bay South Mayor Woodrow French

Only if you’re a mindless automaton of the State whose life purpose is living by Bureaucrat’s Rule #1.  In this case the mindless automaton of the State has a name: Conception Bay South Mayor Woodrow French.

It’s not about an inch, it’s not about two inches, it’s not about four inches, seven inches,” French said.

It’s about the policies of the town and where buildings have to be located within the town.”

“We have rules and regulations in place, and everybody has to follow those rules and regulations,” French said.

Ah yes… The Rules are More Important than People.

Western Wheat Farmers finally get a taste of freedom from the oppression of the Canadian Wheat Board

Can you imagine starting a business, creating a product and then being sent to jail for the “crime” of selling that product to whoever you wanted?  This sounds absurd, doesn’t it?  Of course, yet this was the reality for farmers in Western Canada for the past 70 years.

The Canadian Wheat Board made it a crime for a farmer to sell the fruits of his labour, namely the wheat he grew on his own land, to anyone but the Wheat Board.  What’s even more grotesque is that this law applied ONLY to farmers west of the Ontario/Manitoba border.  If you farmed in Ontario or Quebec, for example, you could sell your wheat to anyone you wanted.

By any standard imaginable, this is wrong, yet the Wheat Board fought long and hard to keep their monopoly on the fruits of Western labour in place.

Here is a brief explanation of the problem and the hypocrisy of the system, written by

Freedom is not something that should differ from one province to the next.  When it comes to wheat and barley it differs vastly.

Eastern farmers, millers and bakers can buy, sell, trade and export to whomever they please.

Western farmers, millers and bakers are imprisoned by the Federal Government, the Canadian Wheat Board and their bureaucrats.

The difference is not in legislation, but in policy.

The Canadian Wheat Board Act includes all of Canada.  The difference is in the way it operates.  When an Eastern farmer or processor wants to buy, sell, trade or export, they simply call 1-800-ASK-4CWB and are immediately granted approval.  In some cases our Eastern colleagues do not even apply, but simply but, sell, trade or export to whomever, however, and wherever they see fit, without so much as a call tot he bureaucratic nightmare we call the Canadian Wheat Board.

When a Western farmer tries to carry out the same transaction, they are told that they must sell it to the Canadian Wheat Board.  If you do not follow this demand you will be charged and jailed like twenty plus Western farmers already have.

Under Agenda 21 “Property Seizure” is Seen as “Profit-Sharing”

Canada’s Constitution is the supreme law.

Any law passed by any federal, provincial, or territorial government that is inconsistent with the constitution is invalid.

The next highest law in the pecking order of paramountcy is the Criminal Code of Canada and the same rules of law apply–or should apply–under the Criminal Code as with the Constitution.

The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act, otherwise known as SCAN, has been a bone choking my throat ever since it was invented from somebody’s zealous imagination.

By the same token, a noisy, disruptive drug house was a bone sticking in the craw of every property owner and tenant who lived in the otherwise quiet, peaceful, respectable Old Town area of Whitehorse.

This hastily-written piece of legislation was well-intentioned but any law passed to simply to take legal action against one specific target is misdirected.

And it’s hard to say where a law may lead to in future unless a judge has the fortitude to rule that it is invalid in relationship to the paramountcy of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Criminal Code.

SCAN is handy because it is based on civil law and depends on bureaucratic scrutiny; private parties can get into the act, too. It does not require criminal charges from the police and convictions from a court. Therefore, this flimsy non-law is open for drastic abuse.

Soon after SCAN’s enactment, sure ‘nuff, the Yukon legislature made a failed attempt to quickly usher in a draconian Civil Forfeiture Act. Thankfully, the quick-acting public, nimbler than the deceitful politicians, clamped the lid shut on the forfeiture refuse posthaste.

There are already enough laws covering all bases in the Criminal Code tome to choke an oversized camel. Why does a territorial government need to write more unlawful laws to deal with one particular drug house in one community?

Alabama vs Agenda 21 and the United Nations. Alabama (and Liberty) Wins!

“Land…cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. “Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of the society as a whole.”

–Agenda 21

In a move that sent shivers of delight through every Freedom-loving man and woman in North America, both houses of  the Alabama State Legislature unanimously passed Senate Bill 477 (SB 477) and sent a very clear message to the United Nations and anyone who supports it.

Don’t Tread On Alabama!

Here is the critical wording of SB 477:

“The State of Alabama and all political subdivisions may not adopt or implement policy recommendations that deliberately or inadvertently infringe or restrict private property rights without due process, as may be required by policy recommendations originating in, or traceable to ‘Agenda 21.’ ”

That’s what leadership looks like.   A decisive decision followed by decisive action.

United Nations go away.

Don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

“Social Justice” Is Not Kids’ Play

In reference to Don Laird’s Selfish Spoiled Brats Steal Money from 9-Year-Old Girl Scout, Say They’re Entitled to It  and Christopher di Armani’s Telling the Truth to Spoiled Brats Across North America, it sounds as though the epidemic of ‘spoiled brats’ infiltrating society need to be tuned up.

Each generation wants the next generation of children to be better educated and have an easier life than their parents before them.

This honorable, feel-good parental philosophy has evolved into a disgusting, socialistic generation of whining, sniveling, lazy, jealous, envious, greedy, grabby, selfish, irresponsible, ill-mannered, uneducated, idiotic, hedonistic, petulant, feel-sorry-for-me brats and lotus-eaters who operate on the pseudo premise that life is fair and that the world owes them a living.

Socialism — which doesn’t work; never did work; and never will work — has become so pervasive that the strong gravitational pull has even sucked an unwilling middle-class psyche into the vortex, too.

The German Karl Marx, who never had an original thought in his head, managed to patch together a string of rag-tag ideas for the masses to live by that he had stolen from other theorists and produced the Communist Manifesto in 1848.

His economic, social and political theories are insane which is why they proved totally unworkable in practicality and reality.

Yet the opulent people-control freaks — the globalists — keep dragging this despicable piece of trash back into the limelight under the guise of different names and agendas.

The latest document is the United Nations’ Agenda 21, the blueprint on how world’s society will be architected for the 21st Century’s living patterns.

Agenda 21 is based on the Communist Manifesto that the failed United Nations, a supplant to the failed League of Nations, eagerly adopted as its manual during its formation in 1945 before World War II was officially finished in the Pacific.

One of the main ingredients to the anti-capitalism treatise is the promotion of the misleading phrase “social justice”.

The wacky “equal distribution of wealth” theory calls for a ban on privately-owned property which would serve to destroy and blend the affluent middle class in with the lower class. If the lower class can’t afford to own property, therefore, the middle class should not be allowed to own property either.

Voila. Equality! (more…)

Farewell, Henry Lamb, Educator About Evils Against Humanity

I’ve been a devout fan and student of Henry Lamb from the minute I came across his columns over 10 years ago on Enter Stage Right which has a permanent home on my Book Bar alongside other carriers of Lamb’s valuable collection.

Although a long-time disciple, I knew little about the writer and author personally except that he has dedicated many years to educating the public about the evils of such things as Agenda 21–Agenda for the 21st Century–the United Nations, (UN) Sustainable Development, Smart Growth, Maurice Strong…

Recently, I was browsing the Oathkeepers website where I came across the heading “Henry Lamb on Maurice Strong, UN, Bilderberg, Agenda 21” with an introduction by Elias Alias.

I no doubt had read the 1997 piece, but there’s nothing like a refresher course on the litany of evils cleverly perpetrated on the unsuspecting public by the Prophet of Doom.

I wasn’t too far into Elias Alias’ introduction when I was dumb-struck by the unexpected:

“A friend in Montana known as ‘Lark’ sent to my inbox the notice of the passing of Henry Lamb. In clicking around about Henry Lamb’s death I came across a remarkable work he wrote in 1997, and I’m sure it belongs on the pages of Oath Keepers national.”

It was through Elias Alias’ subtle notice that I initially learned that freedom-loving people of the world had lost a unique and intellectual friend.

I read ”Henry Lamb on Maurice Strong”–as should everybody–saved it to my Special UN Articles file, then went clicking for additional information about the 74-year-old gentleman’s May 24th death.

Information was sparse but I did find a brief write-up by Editor Judi McLeod of Canada Free Press where I used to find Henry Lamb’s columns gracing the screen.

“News comes to Canada Free Press (CFP) this morning from columnist Michael Oberndorf of the passing of outstanding American patriot, Henry Lamb,” wrote McLeod in her perfectly-titled tribute:.“Henry Lamb: Death of a Patriot”

“One of a kind Tennessean Henry Lamb held a lifelong dedication to the American Constitution, and did more to warn average people about the destructive encroachment of the United Nations on human society than any other source.”

World Net Daily (WND), where Lamb had been a columnist since 1999, posted an In Memoriam eulogy with the very fitting subhead: “Globalism Expert Was Vociferous Defender of Constitution, U.S. Sovereignty”.

How Some Sucker Stole the Water

The Christopher di Armani-produced Rights and Freedoms Bulletin of April 28, 2012 carried a frustrating article about the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) declaring war on British Columbia’s Fraser Valley farmers.

The ditches the farmers dug to drain their land have been designated “fish habitat”.

The heavy-handed, gun-toting, jackboot boys told the farmers they can no longer clean their ditches or farm within 30 metres of the ditches, regardless that no fish will ever inhabit the drainage channels.

If farmers are forbidden from dredging their ditches, their properties will flood, thus raising the water table and greatly encumbering their ability to graze cattle and grow crops that feed their families, neighbours and communities which are inhabited by those jackboot bureaucrats.

Further, Fisheries decided it would take control over any bridges and other crossings and has demanded that farmers plant trees along the banks so the bureaucrats can declare the land unfarmable when the work is finished.

The land guardians have no way to appeal Fisheries’ overzealous application of the federal Fisheries Act which has been a thorn in the side of every land-user in Canada for the last eon.

“The DFO is taking this land from these farmers without any concern about their livelihoods or understanding about agriculture,” said Jordan Bateman, Canadian Taxpayers Federation’s British Columbia Director, whose organization stepped up to the plate to give assistance.

“Why are we spending thousands or millions of dollars to employ Fisheries and Oceans bureaucrats to persecute in-land farmers?”

Good question. (more…)

Mining Study Cuts to the Core

(Originally published in the Yukon News, March 20, 2000)

Dutch Van Tassell Photo, 2009

“When you push somebody far enough, they will stand up and fight. If they don’t fight for their rights, then they are done for. They are slaves.”
— Jim McFaull (1952 to 2012) —

Private property ownership is the cornerstone of any free society. The land issues the late Jim McFaull held insightfully under study and discussion for many years help serve as more examples of how the United Nations’ Agenda 21 is working stealthily under the radar in tandem with federal, provincial, state and community governments to transfer all privately-owned property into public domain that will ultimately be placed under control of a one-world government. Ironically, he faced much opposition from his mining colleagues who don’t know or care that they have rights and are not going to fight for them. They just want to work under a “fashionable” Agenda 21 phrase:”Go along to get along”. JG

A blizzard of conflicting legislation and regulations blanketing this territory has eroded the miner’s rights to enter, locate, prospect and mine a claim, says a study released on February 28, 2000.

Report on the Yukon Quartz Mining Act and its Regulatory Regime’s Impact on the Free Entry System of Mining Law delivers what the title promises. (download PDF)

Author Jim McFaull has tackled the complex legal issue head-on. But the 50-page document is far from dry stuff.

McFaull is an accomplished writer and communicator. He has stitched the story together with simple language and an easy style so the layman can comprehend the text. (more…)

Property Owners Are An Endangered Species

The delegates who heard about the Wildlands Project during a 1998 Alaska Miners Conference may have naively thought the plot too outrageously unrealistic to pay heed to at the relevant time.

A reprint of Kathleen Benedetto’s paper in the July/August 1998 Mining Voice warned that the ranting of a handful of radical activists really was a must to be taken seriously.

The plan was being endorsed by environmental heavyweights and over 35 organizations, including the United Nations-approved Sierra Club and The Nature Conservancy.

They were lined up at the trough with their wonky ideas funded by wealthy, U.S.-based grant foundations such as Patagonia, Pew Charitable Trusts, The Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Lynhurst Foundation, W Alton Jones Foundation and the Ted Turner Foundation.

Before the Internet Revolution, Turner Communications controlled the flow of the former mainstream media information that served to warp the minds of the masses.

The main tool behind the principles of the Wildlands Project, founded circa 1991, is the U.S. Endangered Species Act. It is not sufficient for Wildlanders to preserve what is remaining of roadless, undeveloped land. They want to re-create large swaths of wilderness by dismantling roads and dams, which, by the United Nations’ Agenda 21 standards, are not “sustainable”.

Through regulatory takings of privately-owned land, they want to reclaim plowed farmland, ranches, grazing leases and clear-cuts. Their plans cover reintroducing extinct species while disposing of some human population which Wildlanders view as a disgusting scourge to the planet.

If Wildlanders sound like a bunch of lunatics escaped from an insane asylum, then so is former U.S. Democrat vice-president Al Gore, who just about won the presidential bid in 2000. He and Wildlanders are cut from the same cloth. (more…)

‘Land-Use Planning’ Means Driving People from the Land

Under the United Nations’ Agenda 21Agenda for the 21st Century–the main thrust is to return all privately-owned property back to public domain. As with the Marxist doctrine, Agenda 21 doesn’t recognize privately-owned property because it is the cornerstone of all free societies.

America’s 50 states are being carved into 12 land-planning regions in anticipation of the forthcoming North American Union of which Canada and Mexico are part of the “three amigo partnership”.

“Partnership” is a keyword that denotes Agenda 21.

Canada is under regional land-planning concepts that link one province’s land to another under the guise of environmentalism.

One of the latest land-planning fiascos is Alberta’s Land Stewardship Act which was drafted and passed behind closed doors by Premier Ed Stelmach’s Conservative cabinet.

“Stewardship” is the keyword that indicates the Land Stewardship Act is a product of the UN’s Agenda 21. Also, under Agenda 21, “meat-eating” is not considered “sustainable” which translates into the elimination of all livestock raised for food consumption.

Unbelievably, the proposed legislation was never brought to the floor of the Alberta legislature for debate. Therefore, opposition members, press, general public, lawyers and, most importantly, landowner associations’ members and their executive directors, who never miss a trick, knew nothing about this land-grabbing Land Stewardship Act for a year.

For good reason, Albertans were in an uproar over this draconian law that dictates exactly what landowners can and cannot do with their land.
