Gamil Gharbi Day – Because blaming the millions of men who didn’t kill anyone is always in fashion!

Happy-Gamil-Gharbi-Day-PFTR

Happy-Gamil-Gharbi-Day-PFTR

Canada’s annual Man-Hating Festival is well underway, instigated and celebrated by such sharp visionaries and illustrious luminaries as Windy Wendy Cukier and Lying Heidi “I Was There” Rathjen. (Gamil Gharbi was never anywhere near her but Heidi Rathjen refuses to let that pesky little truth get in her way!)

The cause of “gun control” will never fade because these allegedly smart women refuse to accept one simple fact: it is human beings who kill each other.

Guns are merely one of many tools used to commit murder.

By refusing to face that fundamental truth “gun control” advocates remove personal responsibility from the equation and effectively reduce our society to one of little children who don’t know right from wrong; children who are transformed into mass murderers simply because a firearm is in the house unless Mommy and the Almighty Nanny State gets rid of the guns.

Preposterous?

Absolutely, but that doesn’t stop these people from spinning their yarns to anyone who will listen, usually others with an equal or higher stake in reducing society to irresponsible children who must be “managed“.

Governments love “gun control” for equal and opposite reasons: they hate guns in the hands of “mere citizens” and love control over every aspect of our lives.

Until we teach our children about personal responsibility again and, more importantly, hold murderous criminals accountable for their actions, nothing will change.

Yours in Liberty,

If the Gun-Banning Crowd is so convinced of their argument, how come you will never see this sign on their homes?

Gun-Banning-Hypocrites

Gun-Banning-Hypocrites

The gun-banning fanatics insist that if we just banned guns, the world would be a safer place.

Now, let’s set aside the hypocrisy of the folks proposing this, since they have their armed guards and protection details… where you and I just have ourselves and 911 (and perhaps 1911 as well).

How come these prattling yahoos never ever place this sign on their front door?

Could it be they don’t actually believe it themselves?

You’d think that if they truly believed that Gun-Free Zones saved lives, they would proudly proclaim their homes as such at every opportunity.

You’d think they’d insist the school their child attends is a Gun-Free Zone, but that’s just not the way it works…

Like I said… Hypocrites!  Every last one of them.

The Nanny State Ninnies who demand we disarm ourselves will never post this sign on their homes. I wonder why that might be?

The Nanny State Ninnies who demand we disarm ourselves will never post this sign on their homes.
I wonder why that might be?

Wendy Cukier’s dangerous fallacy that women can’t defend themselves

women-educating-in-self-defense-training

“Windy Wendy” Cukier

Women like Wendy Cukier are dangerous.

Wendy Cukier of Canada’s Coalition for Gun Control is one of those individuals who believe the entire world should be run to fit her personal desire, and that’s a very dangerous thing. Yes, to guys like me who happen to like guns, to be sure, but she is far more dangerous to woman than she will ever be to me or any other man and our guns.

While I don’t agree with Susan B. Anthony on a number of subjects, on the subject of self-defense she is definitely right on target.

I declare to you that woman must not depend upon the protection of man, but must be taught to protect herself, and there I take my stand.

A person is not protected by rendering them defenseless.

The paradox of Cukier’s position on “gun control” is that she actually achieves the exact opposite of what she claims she wants: women to be protected from violence.

In saying that self-defense is not a legitimate use of firearms, Wendy Cukier disempowers women the world over.

Instead of hating inanimate objects (firearms) perhaps Ms. Cukier ought to instead hate the human behavior that would subjugate women.  Instead of hating “violence against women” no matter how worthy that may appear on the surface, perhaps she ought to work on actually empowering women to defend themselves appropriately in the face of an abusive man.

Instead of stripping women of the very firearms they can handle effectively, short-barreled handguns that are now effectively banned in Canada thanks to Cukier’s efforts, she ought to be leading gun safety classes at the local shooting range.

The fallacy that we will ever disarm violent criminals and other evildoers is just that: a fallacy… a pipe dream… a false hope that can never, ever be realized.

Bad people will ALWAYS get guns if that’s what they want.  And who do the good people call when they’re confronted with some violent person with a gun?

Another person with a gun.  We call these people “police”. (more…)

Common Sense from Toronto City Council? Who’d have thunk it!

As Matt Gurney of the National Post  said, it was a rare outbreak of sanity in Toronto as the Toronto City Council voted against banning bullets inside the city limits.  The city that voted so stupidly to ban plastic bags managed to find an ounce or two of common sense this past Thursday as they voted down moronic city councilor Adam Vaughan’s motion to ban bullets.  At 28-13 against, the vote wasn’t even close.

As bizarre as it sounds, even Adam Vaughan voted against his own motion.  Was this Vaughan coming to his senses?  I highly doubt that.  I’m sure he had some other motive in mind now that the national press spotlight had pretty much fizzled out on him and his latest harebrained publicity scheme.

To quote Matt Gurney’s National Post column:

Vaughan insists that if it was properly reviewed, people would be swayed by the evidence and logic of his bullet ban. But there’s no evidence or logic behind it at all. Set aside the fact that ammunition and firearms are already both heavily regulated in Canada. Set aside the fact that Toronto is, by any big-city standard, tremendously safe. The fact remains, as the evidence shows, that the city of Toronto is not an island. Cutting off legal access to bullets within the 416 area code would do absolutely nothing to stop bullets from being sold and stored in the 905 region that surrounds Toronto. Unless Vaughan intended to recreate the Berlin Wall along Steeles Avenue, his plan was going nowhere.

In a word… Duh!

Law-abiding firearm owners, whether inside the Toronto bubble or outside of it, are not the source of the “gun problem”.  They do, however, make great political scapegoats, a fact Adam Vaughan knows very well.

If simply banning something would cause it to cease to exist, then all of humanity’s ailments would be very easily solved.

Don’t like drinking?  Ban alcohol.

Don’t like drugs?  Ban them!

Want to rid the world of rapists?  That’s easy, just ban rape.

Murder?  Ban it.

Problem solved, right?

“Gun Control” kills. Here’s how…

gun-control-kills-people

The advocates of “gun control” are forever telling us that guns are too dangerous for mere citizens to use.  It’s just not safe, they say.  That mentality has always bothered me because what are police officers except mere citizens with a little training?

Anyone can become proficient in the skills needed to handle firearms safely.  Training facilities like Front Sight can give you that training over the course of a single weekend.  It’s hardly difficult.

But those who despise firearms, and the right to self-defense generally, always claim that only killers have guns.  It’s bullsh*t, of course, as study after study shows that firearms are used defensively millions of times per year in the United States without ever firing a shot.  Merely showing the aggressor or home invader the firearm is usually enough to stop the attack.

Cases like young mother Sarah Dawn McKinley are the exception, where the home invader is too stupid to comprehend they are about to lose their life if they don’t stop.  For those who don’t recall the case, Sarah had just buried her husband earlier earlier on New Year’s Day 2012, and was home alone with her baby when two morons decided that was the perfect time to break into her home to rape her and steal any medication that might have been left over from her husband.

That moronic decision cost one of the home invaders his life, and so it should.  Every single time.

Why should a young widow and her baby be forced to submit to the deranged demands of two thugs?  Because the Rosie O’Donnells of the world say so while they hide behind armed bodyguards?

Here is an awesome video showing the end result of that sort of stupidity… (more…)

Wisconsin passes concealed carry law, newspaper editorial board goes crazy as a result

portable-lifesaver-handgun

The editorial board of the Wisconsin Journal-Sentinel have their heads firmly planted up their rectums.  Their August 23rd editorial titled “Keep them out” shows how out of touch with reality they are.

Their case against law-abiding citizens opens with this asinine statement:

Before the Civil War, a Southern congressman once used a cane to beat a Northern senator to within an inch of his life on the Senate floor. But, although we haven’t done an extensive search of the records, we’re unaware of any gunplay that ever took place in those hallowed halls or similar halls of other legislative bodies.

They open with an odd historical fact that has absolutely nothing to do with firearms, and then openly admit they were too bloody lazy to actually do their research before writing this tripe.

They promote local bans on firearms in public places, citing “many” municipalities are considering them.

The Journal-Sentinel editorial writer(s) clearly despise any strong emotion, and would probably call the cops on me just for writing this response to there moronicity.  (Yes, that’s a word.  Jane and I agreed!)

They quote their fellow nitwit, Waukesha Common Council President Paul Ybarra, who says:

Every now and then I just need a dose of The Nuge to get me through the day.

There’s just something special about Ted Nugent aka The Nuge.  What I love about the man is that he has an opinion and he’s not afraid to share it with anyone and everyone.  What’s better is that he comprehends basic human truths that escape such “progressive thinkers” as Wendy Cukier, Diane Feinstein and that ilk.

He applies common sense to the problems he faces. I appreciate that. What I appreciate more is his leadership on the issue of our Rights and Freedoms. He gets it, and isn’t afraid to make sure you know he gets it. God love him!

The other day a friend of mine sent me a link to this video.  Yeah, I’ve seen it before.  I’ve even got half a dozen copies of it scattered around my hard drive, I’m sure.

But there I seem to forget to watch it when I need a dose of The Nuge.

Enjoy!

Obama wants more “gun control”… shocked, I am!

It’s no shocker that Obama wants more “gun control”. Of course he does! It’s also no surprise that he blames gun owners for the problems, without actually putting it into those words.

Everyone know he’d be making some dumbass announcement about “gun control” after Congress-woman Gabrielle Giffords was shot along with dozens of others.  It was only a matter of time.

Well, that time has come, and with luck, so has the downfall of the most moronic president to sit in the Oval Office.  Or at least we can hope and pray that’s the case. (more…)
